DUBAI – UAE carrier flydubai has announced a fresh round of cabin crew recruitment, inviting applications from candidates eager to join its in-flight team.

The airline shared the opportunity through a job posting, highlighting both the responsibilities and rewards that come with the role.

The recruitment drive targets individuals with a strong passion for customer service and the ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment. According to the airline, cabin crew serve as brand ambassadors, ensuring passenger safety while delivering a consistent and high-quality onboard experience.

Applicants are expected to demonstrate enthusiasm, adaptability and a commitment to excellence, as the airline looks to expand its dynamic workforce.

Who qualifies

To be considered for the role, candidates must meet a set of minimum requirements outlined by the airline. Applicants must be at least 21 years old and have a minimum height of 158cm, in line with safety regulations.

A well-groomed and professional appearance is essential, with no visible tattoos permitted while in uniform. Candidates must also hold a valid passport and be in good health, capable of passing an aero medical examination.

Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory, while additional language skills are considered an advantage. Applicants should also be confident in water while wearing a flotation aid, reflecting safety training requirements.

The role demands flexibility, as cabin crew are required to work irregular hours, including weekends, holidays and overnight shifts. A high school diploma is mandatory, alongside at least one year of experience in a customer service role, ideally within aviation, hospitality or retail sectors.

Candidates must also be willing to relocate to Dubai and work effectively in a multicultural team environment.

Pay package

Flydubai has outlined a structured pay package for successful applicants. Cabin crew will receive a combined basic salary, housing allowance and transportation allowance totalling Dh8,275 per month.

In addition, crew members can earn a variable flying pay averaging Dh4,500 per month, based on approximately 90 flying hours. This brings the total estimated monthly earnings to Dh12,775, depending on flight activity.

The airline also offers a range of benefits, including medical insurance, end-of-service benefits and 30 days of paid annual leave. Employees are entitled to an annual leave ticket, along with concessional travel tickets for family and friends.

Contracts are offered on an open-ended basis, providing long-term employment opportunities within the airline.

Training terms

The airline has specified a training bond of $2,650 (Dh9,700), applicable for the first year of employment. This forms part of the onboarding process, ensuring candidates complete the required training and certification.

Flydubai emphasised that cabin crew must maintain a safety-conscious attitude and be prepared to respond to emergencies calmly and effectively, reinforcing the critical nature of the role within airline operations.
